Installation
Everything you need to get the Cyberpunk 2077 Wabbajack Collection installed and running. Follow the steps in order — don't skip ahead.

Make sure you have the following installed before proceeding:
| Tool | Version | Required |
| Wabbajack | 3.x or newer | Required |
| Cyberpunk 2077 | 2.2 or newer | Required |

Wabbajack Installation Guide — ~12 minutes
Installation Steps
-
1
Download Wabbajack
Head to
wabbajack.org and download the latest version of the Wabbajack app. Install it to a folder that is
not inside Program Files, e.g.
C:\Wabbajack.
-
2
Prepare your install location
Create a new folder for the collection, e.g. D:\Modlists\CyberpunkUltra. This must not be inside the game folder or inside any Windows-protected directory.
-
3
Download the collection file
Download the .wabbajack file from the Nexus Mods page or from our Discord. Save it anywhere accessible.
-
4
Install via Wabbajack
Open Wabbajack → click "Install from Disk" → select the .wabbajack file. Set the Installation Location to the folder you created in Step 2. Click "Play" and wait — this will take a while.
-
5
Launch via Mod Organizer 2
Once complete, open ModOrganizer.exe inside your install folder. Always launch the game from MO2 — never from Steam or GOG directly.
Common mistake
Do not try to merge this collection with an existing MO2 setup. Install it fresh into a dedicated folder.
Post-Installation
After installation is complete, open Ultra+ Manager (included in the collection) to apply the recommended preset for your GPU tier. See the GPU Settings page for details.
U+ Settings Tool
GPU Settings
Pick your GPU below to get the recommended Ultra+ preset and quality settings for this collection.
Presets Explained
Ultra+ uses a tiered preset system. Apply uplus_defaults first, then layer your quality preset on top.
Full path tracing enabled. No upscaling needed at 1440p. Expect 40–60fps with frame generation. Best visual fidelity possible with this collection.
Path tracing off, RT Overdrive on. DLSS/FSR Quality mode at 1440p. Frame generation enabled. Smooth 60fps experience with near-epic visuals.
RT Shadows + Reflections. DLSS/FSR Balanced mode. No frame generation required. Targets 60fps at 1440p comfortably.
RT off or minimal. DLSS/FSR Performance mode. Targets 60fps at 1080p or 1440p depending on card. Still looks significantly better than vanilla.
Maintenance
Updating Individual Mods
How to update specific mods in the collection without breaking the whole install — and what to watch out for.
Warning
Updating mods outside of a full Wabbajack re-install is done at your own risk. Some mods have interdependencies. Always back up your install folder first.
When to Update Manually
Manual mod updates make sense when a mod gets a critical bugfix or patch but the collection hasn't been updated yet. Common cases:
Script mods like Cyber Engine Tweaks (CET) often need updates when Cyberpunk patches drop. Download the new version from Nexus, extract it, and overwrite the files in your game's bin\x64\plugins folder. Never touch files in MO2's mods folder — always install to the actual game directory for CET.
Navigate to your MO2 mods folder (inside your collection install path). Find the mod by name, delete its contents, and paste in the new version's files. MO2 will pick it up automatically on next launch.
Most Cyberpunk mods deploy .archive files into archive\pc\mod. You can replace individual .archive files as long as the mod doesn't change its file name. If the file name changes, remove the old one first.
